So Hetalia was created on March 28th, three years ago! I think it might be cool if we could have our first normal meeting on this day.
How does a casual cosplay sound? We could meet at someone's house and bake a birthday cake for this event and then eat it of course. ;D
Imaginable all the things we'd end up writing on the cake, too. And while waiting for it to bake we could have an episode marathon or just hang out. And we could take photos through all of this as well!
I didn't stick this in the events thread because I'm just brainstorming at this point. One thing to consider is that March 28th is a Monday, so we might have to do it in the afternoon-evening since some people have school and whatnot.
Let's hear your ideas! Also, whose house could we meet at? My place is open so long as something doesn't suddenly come up. (And if everyone promises to keep the noise level relatively low because this building has a lot of elderly folk.)

What if we had this as a picnic? :'> That way, it's more open and we won't have to be a crowd in a house. lol

I think it's a fantastico idea! I just gotta have some directions to the house we are doing this, oh and I also have both the mangas and seasons.

I really like the idea of a picnic! What are the nicest public parks in the area we could possibly do this at? Though, it will still have to depend on the weather.
We could use the house idea as a backup if the weather is bad. It's too early to predict exact forcasts, but it looks like that day will be in the 45-62 degree range.

Hmm... Mt. Trashmore is a common choice for picnics. There are sheltered areas for fairly large groups (I think it's first-come-first-serve). And outdoor grills are available too--you have to bring your own grilling supplies though. It's a pretty nice spot, imo (it's my recommendation). :3
Another alternative would be the Oceanfront. You get to have as much space as you want (except the entire beach), and they offer a lot to do since it's borderline tourist season around then. There's this one store I really like going to that sells a bunch of International stuff on Atlantic Avenue. However, stuff like bringing your own food is kinda risky... We'd have to have our own set-up and if it's too windy, common sense would say to just skip it and head to the restaurants to eat. :U;;;

I like the picnic idea as well, we could all make something different (would be cool to go with a theme meal) and then we don't have to worry as much about directions, or being to loud. I also agree that mt. Trashmore would be best for a spot, the ocean front is pretty but also windy and not as roomy as you might think (unless you like sand in your food XD )

Well... I think we can be loud, but not to the point where the whole park could hear us. XD; lol I've seen people hold group meetings that got reprimanded for blasting their music too loud.

Like a beach day, swimming and such, when it gets warmer out? Unfortunately we wouldn't be able to wear cosplays for that XD

I forgot the name of it exactly. OTL; I haven't been in there since around August or September (going to the Oceanfront's a treat for me)...
But it's along Atlantic Avenue. I think..... Around 19th Street or 20th Street...? I can recognize it though. lol
They have a stand close to their entrance that has International stuff like flags and such to lure you inside, and they have more in the shop (along with your typical run-of-the-mill Virginia Beach souvenirs).

So if we do a picnic then we should figure out who is bringing what.
